Interview Tips

Interview is not only the most crucial of the selection processes, but interview is also the final hurdle for the selection process. Your selection is assured if you perform well in the interview and hence interview is of utmost importance in the selection process. Once you know that you have been short-listed for the interview, it is important that you prepare to know more about the company and the position. As a part of interview preparation you should search the WebPages, look for recent articles and talk to your friends etc. to know more about the organization. Lack of research and lack of knowledge about the company may spoil your chances in the interview. One thing that you need to keep in mind is that, the process of interview is to determine whether you are the right fit into the organization, hence you should market yourselves appropriately in the interview and for that you should know the organization really well.

Most people who attend an interview get dejected after their first failure, instead failure in an interview should be treated as an opportunity to learn from your failures and hence improve your interview skills. The more interviews you attend your probability of getting selected in an interview increases. The best of the students some times do not clear the interview as they have not marketed themselves well.

As a part of preparation for the interview, you should focus a lot on understanding yourselves, this means that you need to spent time with yourself preparing for the HR questions. These may be simple questions asked in an interview like Introduce Yourselves, your strengths, your weaknesses etc.

You should also be up to date with your subject knowledge and your likely job profile. There is no excuse to lack of subject knowledge during the interview.

The process of interview is to do with making yourself and the interviewer comfortable. Hence it is crucial that you communicate openly in the interview. It is also important to capture the interest of the interviewer so that he is willing to spend more time with you. All these involve good communication which you need to exhibit during the interview.

Lastly, be confident and show energy during the interview. The interviewer should feel that you are a person with a lot of confidence and energy, and also you have opinions and can take decisions in the work place.

The process of interview should always be looked upon as an opportunity for you to present yourself in the best possible way (in appearance as well as communication) and it is important that you enjoy the whole process of interview and learn from it too.
